Every one of our models is covered with a 7-year manufacturer’s car warranty, you can also pass it on: reselling your Kia within the warranty terms and the new owner will also benefit from the remaining time or mileage. Can I transfer the warranty to the next owner when I sell my car?

Our cars are fully tested to ensure the highest possible standards of reliability and durability. Our investment in the most technologically advanced production facilities and manufacturing techniques, means we can ensure quality standards for years to come. This outstanding production quality is what gives us the confidence to offer a full 7 year manufacturer’s warranty across our entire range of vehicles.

A late or missing service wouldn’t automatically invalidate the warranty. However, if a fault can be attributed to incorrect maintenance that claim will be declined. Please note: Kia UK do not maintain a centralised service record database, if the service record booklet for your car is incomplete you should contact the dealer that carried out the work or the previous owner (if applicable)

We would recommend the use of original Kia parts because if your car fails due to a non-genuine part being fitted, then a warranty claim may be rejected. If you use a garage other than a Kia dealership or approved repairer to service your car, please tell them to specify the part numbers on the invoice and keep this safe.

For the anti-perforation warranty to remain valid your Kia must be inspected by a Kia dealer or authorised repairer every 12 or 24 months (depending upon the model) – the dealer may charge for this. The warranty information and service schedule booklet supplied with the car will state the correct inspection period for your car.

No – However, we think your Kia dealer is the place to go for servicing and maintenance. That’s because no-one else knows our cars like they do, and they will only use genuine Kia parts and Kia approved lubricants. Also your car will be checked for any service campaigns, modifications or improvements that need to be performed.

But, provided servicing and non-warranty repairs are carried out properly using genuine Kia parts or parts of equivalent quality you can use an independent repairer without affecting your vehicle warranty.

If your Kia car is not serviced by a Kia dealer or Authorised repairer we recommend:
• The garage completing the service is VAT registered.
• The service must be carried out correctly as detailed in the owner’s manual.
• Only genuine Kia parts and lubricants as recommended by Kia or equivalent quality must be used.
• The part numbers used should be detailed on the service invoice.
• The oil type and grade used should be detailed on the service invoice.
• Service records in the warranty booklet must be stamped and dated.
